Legion Mistweaving Guide - Legendaries

In Legion, there are various high ilvl pieces of gear that offer a bonus to an aspect of a specialization. There is one that all classes and specs can equip, two that are available to your armor type, and six that are for your spec only. These will be active the very first week of Mythic, so getting one in the opening weeks of Legion is imperative. Luckily, you can find them from dungeon bosses, raid bosses, world bosses, Emissary quest boxes, or PvP strongboxes.

Mistweaver Specific Legendaries

Rankings
Between Mistweaving and Fistweaving, these items all rank differently in terms of how much of an effect they have on our healing.

Mistweaving
  1. Petrichor Lagniappe - Without using TFT for extra Renewing Mists, and having it on cooldown as much as possible, Revival's cooldown can be 2:24, a decent healing gain.
  2. Unison Spaulders - You can channel Soothing Mist without needing to swap with Effuse to a different target if they're nearby.
  3. Leggings of the Black Flame - The extra TFT augments are powerful, but the random nature of this effect is what hampers this from a higher position.
  4. Ovyd's Winter Wrap - The healing boost of Enveloping is very powerful, but the cost of Enveloping Mist overhealing to spread it is a bit too much mana, especially when the targets are random.
  5. Eye of Collidus the Warp-Watcher - Turns Life Cocoon into an even better preventative cooldown, especially since you'll be casting Soothing Mist fairly often.
  6. Ei'thas, Lunar Glides of Eramas - You have to be in melee to fully utilize this legendary, and the mana sustain provided by this legendary is so minimal that it'd be better used as a stat stick.
Fistweaving
  1. Leggings of the Black Flame - With all of the TFT resets you'll have from Rising Thunder, this legendary definitely shines more than it would without it.
  2. Petrichor Lagniappe - With all of the Renewing Mists you'll be casting with all of the TFT casts you'll have, this has the potential to lower Revival's cooldown below 2 minutes.
  3. Ei'thas, Lunar Glides of Eramas - Since you'll be using Rising Sun Kick regularly, this provides extra mana sustain, in addition to more healing.
  4. Ovyd's Winter Wrap - Having Enveloping Mist overheal for a spell with its mana cost is inefficient, but it slightly outclasses the Soothing Mist specific legendaries due to our not casting it.
  5. Eye of Collidus the Warp-Watcher - You'll rarely cast Soothing Mist, but any ticks you do cast add on to Life Cocoon's absorb, which isn't bad.
  6. Unison Spaulders - You'll have next to no Soothing Mist casts, due to the empty GCDs you'd otherwise spend on Spirit of the Crane instead of Soothing Mist.
Legendary Synergies
You'll be able to equip more of the legendaries as more content is released, and it's worth noting that some of the Mistweaver legendaries synergise well with one another.

Leggings of the Black Flame and Petrichor Lagniappe work really well together, as any extra Renewing Mists from the Leggings provide more healing through quicker Revivals, as well as the extra Renewing Mist it provides.

Ovyd's Winter Wrap, by itself, requires a hefty mana cost, but combined with Ei'thas, Lunar Glides of Eramas, Enveloping Mist can last for quite some time on the target, allowing its healing to be more efficient.

Eye of Collidus the Warp-Watcher and Unison Spaulders gain their worth while channeling Soothing Mist, making it more useful than it already is.

  1. After tons of content and no legendary I finally got Eye of Collidus the Warp-Watcher. Is is as bad as all the sites, (AMR) and tools(PAWN) are telling me? Pretty disgusted about now so looking for ant silver lining.

    1. It's got perfect stats for M+, a guaranteed socket that will stay with you through the expansion (since legendaries can be boosted to stay relevant). And makes Life Cocoon even better, no matter what stacks you use it at.

And for what it's worth, AMR is shit and I wish Pawn would fucking die. The crew who maintain AMR are out of touch with MW. Pawn is bad, since it only takes raw stats and simmed trinkets/effects for dps, leaving healers out, giving laughable results.

  2. Rafe1978#1470 replied, if you have more options of legendary, I suggest you put it at the back seat, it happens my rafemonk@caelestraz happens to have the three bottom rankings mistweavers(raid-healing) legendaries, may find uses at high mythics+ challenge, above +12,
