It's been a while since I've posted anything substantial here (aside from updating the Melee Immunity post), and for good reason. I've been hard at work building a spreadsheet to answer a lot of questions asked in the Monk discord (link to the side). Now, this spreadsheet is fairly comprehensive, predominately answering all gearing questions you may have.

7.2 PTR Changes
7.2 is looking to shake up the core of how Mistweaver plays. Final numbers aren’t known, as we're in a cycle of PTR builds being released weekly, and some of the key components to the playstyle switch are not yet implemented for testing. A post (or maybe even a video) will be released closer to 7.2’s launch on everything that needs to be done to get character progression going again, but for now, let’s look at some of the Mistweaver specific changes either hinted at or datamined.

Patch 7.1.5 for Mistweaver
Patch 7.1.5 is upon us! It's chock full of delayed events, from the micro-holidays to the Mistweaver Timewalking weekly event being added to the weekly rotation. The rest of the new year is sure to be full of fun, outside of raiding, of course. However, we're here today to discuss the tweaks to our class.

Frost, Life, and Storm; Artifact Relics and You
Legion's been out and I haven't wrapped up some of the more niche posts on this site, so without further ado, let's get the different relic priorities laid out.

Mistweaver Legendaries: An In-Depth Look
In the Legion beta, there's been a new addition to Dalaran: Legendary Flaskataur! This magnificent, massive Tauren in Mists of Pandaria Mage Challenge Mode Gear is selling all of the Legendaries that are available to us in Legion, for testing purposes.
Without further ado, let's get into a more in-depth look at these pieces of gear!

Mistweavers and Our Melee Immunity
It's been no secret that Mistweavers are not classified as a typical ranged healer, we're instead classified as a melee-healer. What this means is that we're only targeted by spells that only affect melee, or any of the spells that specifically target healers and no one else, like Tichondrius's Burning Soul.
Below is a list of all known abilities that do not target Mistweavers (and now Holy Paladins). I will be updating this as the expansion goes on.

A Mistweaver's Guide to the Legion Pre Patch
In the Legion pre patch, all of the class changes are hitting Live servers, and with it, a lot of questions. What trinkets should I use? What stats should I go for? How do I get the most out of our tier bonus?
Questions like that.

Petrichor Lagniappe Spreadsheet
Petrichor Lagniappe, one of the Mistweaver legendaries come Legion, is one of the best overall legendaries Mistweavers can acquire. It's power doesn't swing heavily if you're a Mistweaver or a Fistweaver. Talents have an impact on it. It combos well with another legendary (Leggings of the Black Flame). It just benefits from your regular playstyle.

Legion Mistweaving Guide - Legendaries
In Legion, there are various high ilvl pieces of gear that offer a bonus to an aspect of a specialization. There is one that all classes and specs can equip, two that are available to your armor type, and six that are for your spec only. These will be active the very first week of Mythic, so getting one in the opening weeks of Legion is imperative. Luckily, you can find them from dungeon bosses, raid bosses, world bosses, Emissary quest boxes, or PvP strongboxes.

Legion Mistweaver FAQ
There have been a lot of questions I've seen popping up on discord servers, mmo-champion, and the official forums, and, rather than explaining everything again and again, this will be referenced instead.

Legion Mistweaver Guide - Sheilun, Staff of the Mists
Sheilun, Staff of the Mists is our Artifact for the entirety of the Legion expansion. This post goes in-depth with the optimal path, as well as what unique traits are situated around it.
Legion Mistweaver Guide - Fistweaving
The other Mistweaver playstyle is my personal favorite, Fistweaving. In Warlords of Draenor, the two playstyles were separated by stances, but in Legion, they're separated by talents.
Legion Mistweaver Guide - Mistweaving
One of the two playstyles of the Mistweaver spec is the ranged healer. Healing with this playstyle is fairly straightforward.

Legion Beta Build 22201
This build is an interesting one. Let's get right in to the changes:
Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane had its heal per target nerfed by 16.67%, but in there hides a change that had been promised by Sigma. Chi-Ji now scales with haste, where every 3.33% haste we gain, he gains another jump, equating to 450% healing. You only need 16.67% haste for him to meet the pre-nerf healing.
Chi Burst has been bugged in beta for a long while now. The tooltip had been about half of what its healing was. Now we know; its tooltip had been wrong.
The buffs to Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Rising Sun Kick may look like a massive boost to our melee damage at first glance. However, the Mistweaver Monk core passive, which is in effect whenever we're in the MW spec, has changed to reflect this change:

- RSK had been 632% (MW Passive was -20%), now it's 637% (0.8% buff)
- BoK had been 335% (No MW Passive change), now it's 338.8% (1.1% buff)
- TP had been 90% (No MW Passive change), now it's 92.4% (2.7% buff)
There also appears to have been a change to Teachings of the Monastery's buff duration. It had been an 8 second duration, but is now 12. A huge quality of life improvement for Fistweavers, or even Mistweavers in melee range with little healing to do.
